Note from the Prez: Beavers, Bears & Garbage
Beavers have been busy in the river this year and bears have been busy scattering our garbage around the neighborhood. If you can delay putting your trash out until 8:30AM or so on Wednesdays, maybe the Waste Pro truck will beat the bears to the garbage. We all want to keep the neighborhood looking as spiffy as we can. Prompt clean-up of spilled trash is appreciated.

A Neighbor Profile by Wendy Grimwood
Jane Tara Cicchetti moved to Botany Woods six years ago, from Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, where she founded and directed a school for homeopathy for about eight years. Homeopathy is a natural system of medicine that uses very small doses of natural substances to stimulate the body and mind to heal naturally. Jane has devoted a large part of her life, more than 25 years to date, to this practice that was founded almost 200 years ago in Germany. She studied with Francisco Eizayaga, M.D., and George Vithoulkas, a famous homeopath. Today Homeopathy is much more widely used in Europe than in the United States, though I know many, including myself, who have been successfully using remedies for a long time. Jane often travels to Europe to teach advanced courses on this subject, particularly on the use
of dream analysis to help homeopaths find the correct remedy for an individual. Her book, entitled “Dreams, Symbols and Homeopathy” has also been translated into German. Jane is currently working on a second book in the same genre and practices homeopathy in downtown Asheville.
Jane enjoys living in Botany Woods, is the current Coordinator of Neighborhood Watch and serves as a liaison between Botany Woods and the sheriff’s office in time of need. She keeps an email list of participants and sends notices about neighborhood security from time to time. Jane is interested in co-creating outreach in the community, and if you’d like to join the Neighborhood Watch email list or have questions about the role of Neighborhood Watch, please contact her at [janetara@mac.com]
